Established in 1995, SPEEDCO has three key focus areas:
Enriching: Exposure to other environments’ ways of being and modes of thought create paradigm shifting experiences that can lead to much needed positive change for the youth in our community.
Equipping: SPEEDCO recognizes education is the primary equalizing factor that will change the socio-economic condition of residents in under-served communities. We provide educational programs that focus on literacy, math and science proficiency. Through the support of our corporate partners, SPEEDCO provides scholarships to high school students who have been accepted into a four-year university and adults entering for the first time or returning to college to obtain their degree.
Empowering: In our continuing efforts to build and sustain wealth throughout the surrounding communities, we recognize home ownership serves as the foundation for wealth building and financial independence. Through financial literacy programs and partnerships with sponsoring corporations, we can assist families in arresting the cycle of dependency.
